BIO:

James has worked with a number of established clients and composers. As well as regularly assisting Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow on various productions (recently Archive 81 and Men), James has enjoyed collaborations with Segun Akinola, James Everingham, Will Slater, and Will Hyde.

James has also written music for advertising, recently scoring Duracell’s 2023 Christmas commercial, as well as work for Costa Coffee, Bridgestone Tyres, and for Noble Panacea for their “The Exceptional” Campaign featuring Jodie Comer.

As well as music for media, James is an accomplished orchestrator, and recently contributed orchestrations to the UK tour of Treason The Musical, which culminated in a performance at The London Palladium.

James has also composed music for Bleeding Fingers Music, Felt Music, Universal Production Music, BMG UK, and Beatbox Music, and co-written on projects for Rebif, Major Tom, Motorsport Network, and Extreme Music.

After learning the violin and piano from a young age, James went on to study composition at Birmingham Conservatoire. James is white British/Indian mixed race, and now lives in Bath, UK, with his wife and two sons.
